Ronald Alexander Dering

Let me introduce myself.....I am a consulting professional land planner and California licensed attorney with a practice focused on land use, real property, municipal law, and the resolution of neighbor property disputes.

As a former staff planner for the County of Sonoma, I was responsible for the conduct of area wide specific plans resulting in the zoning of thousands of acres of land (Joy Road, Forestville, Cloverdale, Geyserville, Sonoma Mountain). Over the years I have served as an instructor at Santa Rosa Junior College, a member of the Sonoma County Airport Land Use Commission, and consultant planning director of the City of Cloverdale.

Throughout my career, I have prepared and processed hundreds of city and county applications for land use entitlements inclusive of subdivisions, use permits, variances, re-zonings, and general plan amendments for a wide range of individual property owners, developers, wineries, and non-profits.

My law practice emphasizes problem solving and the practical resolution

of real estate transactions, boundary encroachments, title defects, easements, code violations, and neighbor-nuisance disputes.

I have resided in Sonoma County for over 40 years, raised a wonderful family, built a couple of my own homes, subdivided property, and developed single family and multi-family residential property both for myself and with others.

My education includes degrees from Rutgers University (BA), New York University (MPA), and Empire Law School (JD).

I am a sole practitioner...not a law firm. You have my undivided attention.
