James Lawrence Beyers

Jim Beyers has been a partner at the firm since 1975. He possesses a deep expertise in real estate law and has represented many commercial and residential real estate developers in northern California. He has developed an extensive practice in forestry, including acquisitions, timber harvest plans, recreational uses, stream management, and cultural and environmental issues. 

Jim acts as a legal counselor and strategic business partner to his clients, advising them on how to avoid costly legal problems, structure their businesses, and negotiate transactions more profitably. He brings a level of creativity and problem solving to the law that few other attorneys can match. Even after four decades of practicing real estate law, he is constantly seeking out new information that will benefit his clients. 

Jim’s ideal client is a smart and entrepreneurial individual who needs assistance with real estate law, particularly in the areas of land use, construction, or forestry. Jim prefers to work with clients who are eager to engage in dialogue about the best course of action.
