Posted by Steve | March 27, 2024 | Hired Attorney | Divorce & Separation

Unprofessional and did not defend my interest as loving father of 2

Phone consultation with T. Amaral then hired her because I was lead to believe she would really fight for my rights, property and in the children's best interest which is to remain in home, keep kids stable and make sure I get all my separate property (Inheritance & Gifts ETC) received when My Dad p...assed away that I kept detailed records of including tracing all the money from it's origins, keeping the money separate from joint assets as this was extremely Important. I meet Tamran Amaral in person at my first court appearance which was scheduled for custody/visitation. I am disabled and have difficulties. I arrived few minutes late of which I notified her office. when I arrived I had difficulty identifying her and what was going on (Very Confused) I came with a Friend as my source of Support and eye witness (He is a PRIVATE INVESTIGATOR). I have been the children's main caretaker since 2014 and Currently Primary physical custody. Mom abandoned the family residence leaving me with all my disabilities completely in charge of take care of our children and home. Tamran approached me after Talking with Judge (I previously emailed picture of myself prior to court date because, remember I NEVER MEET Tamran in person until NOW BUT HIRED HER ANYWAY AND YES I NOW REALIZE MY MISTAKE) She was very aggressive when she approach me and did not communicate with me on what was going on so I was in total confusion! The Mediator whom NEVER identified herself for some unknown reasons decided to use our attorney's to mediate Custody & Visitation (At OUR expense) and proceeded to decide on what she thought was appropriate visitation for my wife and every time I opened my mouth to either suggest something or voice my concerns or say anything she kept taking more and more time away from me. I was told that the only reason The Mediator didn't give my wife full custody is because my wife works and commutes. The entire mediation session was geared to my wife. I was SO Confused and My attorney did nothing to help! They used my inability to work due to disabilities against me and to justify giving my wife all available time she wanted. They were making up visitation schedules that were NOT in line with kids Sever Allergies, health concerns, school or activity schedules they were disagreeing on EVERYTHING I was trying to saying and my own attorney didn't effectively communicate with me on what was happening and NOT defending me. She was arguing against me in every way in front of everyone. Family Court is extremely stressful so much so that my friend said, He was so stressed and he is not even part of the proceedings (Totally Neutral) I agreed! Disclaimer: This review is supported by my own personal experiences of events and treatment by Tamran Amaral and I also have eye Eyewitness (Private Investigator) to further support this review. I also wanted to say way more but, AVVO drastically Limited my words. Tamran Amaral is a professional and as such I expect a certain level of professionalism since I am the client. If I gets too loud or there is Chaos happening either by me or the events of family court stress then I would expect my professional attorney to take control of the situation by closing the door to give us privacy ETC. what did Tamran do? She left with My wife's Attorney for almost 2 hrs without explanation (Odd ?) She came back with a different attitude against me and said, "NO Wonder why your wife is divorcing you" commented about changing locks, wanted to give Tax write off to Wife regardless of who has primary custody, Persistently telling me that I will have to sell the home, that defer sale was not going to happen, no concern over children's health or anything else that would justify defer sale. she didn't even want to try. Said, Wife deserves proceeds from sale. Tamran made sure she was yelling louder w/ doors wide open so everybody could hear what was going on(embarrassing & Belittling to me)
