I focus my practice on advising and assisting clients on a wide variety of intellectual property issues including the drafting and prosecution of patent applications. My technical expertise is in computer, electrical/electronic, and materials science technologies. I also have experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications related to mechanical devices and business methods.
Prior to private practice, I was a patent examiner for six years in the semiconductor arts at the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Before founding Timberline Patent Law Group, I worked for the prestigious law firms Lee & Hayes and Connolly Bove Lodge & Hutz, assisting clients with the prosecution and litigation of patents in the computer, electrical and mechanical arts.

Great Patent Lawyer at Reasonable Rates
Chris is responsive, personable, and smart. He worked with the general counsel of our toy and gaming company to file several patent applications in a timely and cost-effective manner. I would highly recommend him to any entrepreneur for patent prosecution matters.
"Chris handles his clients and colleagues with the utmost respect and professionalism. He is a great asset to have on your side; whether you need intellectual property advice, patent applications, or mentoring."
"I endorse this lawyer's work in patents and intellectual property. Chris knows his area of expertise so well that clients find him very easy to understand. He cuts through legal pretense and de-escalates tensions with decision-making authorities, such as Patent Examiners. His competence in technology is matchless and his many years as a former Patent Examiner are invaluable."
