You can always fight for change of status in the US, on the basis of approved H-1B and current F-1 status. There is no need to file H-1B again next...

Yes, under the principle of "Crosschargeability", since priority date for Zambia is current for EB-2, concurrent filing is possible. Good luck.

You could get deported. Unauthorized Employment is violation of your status. Asylum Application (if genuine) can still be filed - there is no bar.
