Jay Ross positions himself as an expert and leader in construction defect litigation. He is not even close. Construction defect requires at least a basic understanding of insurance, insurance agreements, and the possibility that a contractor will use bankruptcy to delay and avoid fulfilling his/her... requirements. Jay took on our case and told us that he expected a 12-18 month time frame and $50-$100K in legal fees. The damages were approximately $375,000. He never once questioned whether insurance would even cover the defects and if not how to collect from the contractor.
