Patent Landscapes: I identify third party patents and applications that are relevant to my clients’ businesses and technologies. I provide my view of claim scope and the likelihood of relevant claims issuing from pending applications. Opinions: I provide patent enforceability, validity, and infringement opinions. The opinions might be rendered for early innovation guidance, generic or follow-on product development, due diligence, or defenses against willful infringement allegations.

I leverage my Ph.D. in Microbiology and experience as in-house counsel at two biotechnology companies to provide full service to life science clients of all sizes. I manage patent portfolios and invention disclosures. I clear publication requests, and identify licensing opportunities. I also help with material transfer agreements and non-disclosure agreements.

I provide U.S. patent prosecution services and direct the prosecution of foreign applications. I help my clients manage their patent portfolios. I help with application appeals and other post-grant proceedings.

Litigation Support: Patent litigation is complex. Having served as patent litigation counsel for years at major law firms, I now work with litigation counsel to protect my clients’ interests. I participate in litigation strategy, review work product, and liaise between my clients and litigation counsel. I helps with internal investigations, document retention policies, and document collection. I also help with settlement negotiations.
