Relationship: Opposing Counsel on matter
"Bill represented a large general contractor in a very contentious and complicated multi-million dollar construction dispute on a public works project involving over a thousand defect, delay, and contract claims. Throughout the process, Bill was aggressive, knowledgeable and prepared in zealously advocating for his client. At the end of the day, it was our good professional working relationship that made the difference in resolving the dispute. I endorse Bill for any construction litigation matter in the Bay Area, large or small."
"I worked with Bill for several months in a complex matter including several depositions and long mediations. He was always prepared and well versed in the issues. More important, I enjoyed his outgoing, yet professional, personality. Hope to work with Bill again in the future!"
"I have worked on complex construction defect cases with Bill Kaufman for a number of years. Initially, he and I were co-counsel on a case and I got to see his professional approach to defending our mutual client. I was even more impressed when, last year, he and I were opposing counsel in a hard-fought case which ended up settling on the court house steps. Bill and I spent many days together in expert witness depositions and I was able to see a consumate professional who was prepared, tenacious, and the best kind of advocate any client would want as their attorney."
"Bill provided excellent representation to his client, a primary subcontractor in a large defect suit, in all aspects of the litigation. He was a hard nosed advocate for his client, but at the same time professional and collegial. In addition to his ample experience in construction defect litigation, Bill has also assisted me greatly with several contract and payment disputes. I wholeheartedly endorse Bill for all aspects of any construction litigation or dispute."
"Bill is an excellent lawyer that aggressively litigates on behalf of his clients but maintains a professional demeanor that has earned the respect of his peers. He has extensive experience in construction litigation, is a zealous advocate, and understands the intricacies of complex multi-party law suits. In addition, Bill is well known throughout the construction community and has longstanding relationships with experts, judges, mediators, special masters, and fellow attorneys that allow him to achieve the best results for his clients. Bill has my full endorsement."
