Kim first joined Archer Norris in 1999 and returned to the firm in 2007 after practicing law in San Francisco and running a business in the East Bay. Today, Kim brings a unique perspective to the firm’s practice, having both prosecuted and defended actions throughout California. Ms. Amick also works with the firm’s appellate practice group and has briefed and argued cases before numerous California appellate courts, including the California Supreme Court and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

As a former CEO, she has also “been on the other side of the table” and now blends that experience to forge strong relationships with her clients based on a combination of sound legal advice and innate knowledge of their business needs.

Kim has served on panels to instruct attorneys about coverage litigation in California. She is also the author of several articles published in the National Law Journal and the Environmental Litigation Reporter. Furthermore, Ms. Amick contributed to the research and drafting of the Senate Judiciary Committee Report on the Violence Against Women Act.

Kim graduated from the University of California at Santa Barbara in 1993 with a B.A. degree in Political Science/International Relations. She graduated from the University of California Hastings College of Law in 1998 and became of member of the California Bar the same year.
