I had surgeries on both hands due to repetitive keyboarding at work. Even after surgery, I was on able to button buttons, zip up zippers or other mundane things to take care of myself or my family. I could not hold a knife to do chili cooking activities and constantly dropped things from pork wrap.... Eventually, I learned to adjust by using my palms to hold things instead of my fingers. I was still in a lot of pain and even holding the steering wheel to go to work was very painful. Worker’s Comp. told me I was 2% affected and wanted to close my case. I was so upset at the prospect of living my life without being able to use my hands! I got desperate and decided to get a lawyer. I am so glad I found J.R.! He and his office were able to get the months of physical therapy I needed to get my hands moderately functional. It will never be like before the injury but at least now I can take care of myself and my family with adjustments and am not in constant pain. I am so grateful for all the help!
