This lawyer was disciplined by a state licensing authority in 2009.
Discipline with Actual Suspension issued in CA, 2009
updated on 11/19/2024This sanction means the attorney lost his or her license to practice law for a period of time. The attorney typically returns to practicing law when the suspension expires.
“The "discipline" was for a period when my dear Mom was hospitalized, near death, and I was representing her in several legal matters. A bank wire transfer that she wired to my trust account to cover her and my expenses during the many weeks of hospitalization, was written by her for $8,000 but she told me it was $13,000, as she was near delirium. I explained to the State Bar that I immediately took care of the shortfall, but they decided to go after me anyway, just weeks after she passed away.”
