Stephen J. Healy

Stephen Healy has practiced law for over 27 years, now focusing his practice on asbestos compensation claims and asbestos civil litigation in state and federal court. Attorney Healy has represented many individuals that worked in mills or factories, or are military veterans who worked in environments that exposed them to asbestos.

Attorney Healy is licensed to practice law in the States of California and Nevada, and is also accredited by the United States Department of Veterans Affairs to represent veterans when they file for service connected disability benefits.

Attorney Healy is the author of California Asbestos Products Liability: Claims, Defenses and Elements of Proof ((c) 2011 Stephen Healy). He has tried and settled multiple asbestos-related cases in excess of one million dollars.

Aside from asbestos-related cases, has handled and/or tried to verdict a wide assortment of matters that included attempted murder, felony drug cases, sexual assault, numerous misdemeanor criminal cases, a large number of real estate and construction defect cases, tax cases, copyright cases, medical malpractice (3 to verdict), insurance coverage, insurance bad faith cases (1 to verdict), sexual harassment (2 to verdict), business defamation (1 to verdict), and gender and disability employment discrimination cases (2 to verdict).

He has tried significant cases to verdict in the California Superior Courts in Los Angeles County, Orange County, San Diego County, San Francisco County, Alameda County, and Placer County, as well as the Nevada State District Court in Washoe County.
