I have always been in one of the helping professions, first as a social worker and community organizer in West Virginia and Oakland, California and then as a teacher of young children from daycare age through fifth grade. I went to law school after raising 4 children with my husband and partner of 45 years. I chose family law because I wanted to help people find a peaceful way to end their marital relationship. There is enough pain and hate in the world and transformation begins on a personal level. So I wanted to help people transition to a healthy co-parenting relationship if there are children, but always to move on as single individuals with a minimum of rancor and hopefully an attitude of letting go of "the water under the bridge" factor.
I bring joy to my own life by dancing--both Scottish Country dancing and Tango, and singing and engaging others to sing folk songs, camp fire songs, rounds and hymns. I believe in finding the silver lining and looking for the best in every human being. Please visit my website at .
