Michael Kenneth Wear

I spent more than 15 years as a Marin County Deputy District Attorney before founding Wear Trial Law. I served as Felony Team Coordinator, tried felony cases on the Special Victims Unit, including elder abuse prosecutions and a hate crime jury trial, and headed the Consumer Protection Department, where I also served as the county's Dangerous Animal Hearings Coordinator.

That work taught me how to build a case and try it in front of a jury. It also taught me what it takes to earn the trust of someone going through the worst experience of their life, and to keep that trust through a long legal process.

I founded Wear Trial Law to do that work on the civil side, where the focus is on the person who was harmed: accountability from whoever caused it, and the compensation needed to rebuild. I represent survivors of sexual and institutional abuse, elders abused or neglected in care facilities, passengers assaulted by rideshare drivers, families of children harmed by social media platforms, people with catastrophic injuries, families who have lost someone to negligence, dog bite victims, and employees who were wrongfully terminated, harassed, or discriminated against. I also hold an AWI-CH workplace investigator credential, so I know how employers handle complaints from the inside.

This is a solo practice by design. When you call, you talk to me, and I handle your case personally from the first conversation through trial. I take injury and abuse cases on a contingency fee basis and serve clients in Marin, Sonoma, San Francisco, Alameda, and Solano counties.
