Christopher Atkinson Skelton

My primarily focuses on land use, real estate, and civil litigation.  I represents both public and private clients in processing their land use entitlements.  My experience with the Subdivision Map Act, Mitigation Fee Act, California Environmental Quality Act, and the Brown Act enables me to successfully advocate on behalf of my clients.

I also serves as a local Planning Commissioner in my hometown of Mill Valley.  My Commissioner position allows me intimate insight into the development process, interpretation of municipal codes, and application of local laws and customs.  Prior to joining Ragghianti Freitas, I worked in the Marin County Counsel’s Office. 

I returned home to the Bay Area after graduating from Duke University.  Before attending law school, I worked as a paralegal with a boutique law firm in Marin County.  I graduated with distinction from McGeorge School of Law, where I qualified for Dean’s Honor List every semester and was awarded membership to the Traynor Society for academic achievement.  I also had the unique experience of serving as a judicial intern at the California Court of Appeal for the Honorable Justice Peter Siggins.
