What is the application? If it is for DACA, I would not worry. They are backlogged.

You can file for adjustment once married. After 3 or 5 years of residence you can apply for citizenship

You can file to adjust in the US but I would not do so without an attorney since WV can be problematic if out of status.

Not true. You may want to meet with an attorney to discuss timing of filing and your "grace period."
