No need to pay so long as you file for the EAD when you file for adjustment.

If the 485 has been denied, the 765 which is based on it will be denied also.
I applied for initial EAD based on pending asylum application and now 6 weeks have passed.

43 days is not long to wait for the EAD. The processing times posted by CIS are only estimates.

What do you mean you are not "permanent" residents? You can file for your married daughter and her family once you are a US citizen.
