Outstanding and Caring Immigration Attorney

Thank you Prerna, I appreciate your effort and time you spend working on my immigration case. You carry yourself in a confident manner, which might be a little intimidating, but as soon as you talk I felt secure. I felt save because you understand and share a similar background, it is easier to co...nnect with you because there is not a need to explain the trauma in such a way that you feel foreign or unwelcome. I appreciate you sharing your story as well, and I admire how you were able to complete a lot of things while doing so. This demonstrate how verse you are in immigration law and how familiar you are with the process. I am also grateful that you care about my emotional and mental health. How your reminded me of how important it is to take care of my well-being, and all the time you connected me with people that could help me further, always putting my security first. Prerna Lal has been great to work with. Prerna is quick to respond to any question that I have and answers my questions fully. Prerna has helped us, my family and I, every step of the way with our case. Prerna has provided me comfort and security so I can focus on myself so that I can get well and be able to focus on my journey at UC Berkeley and not have to worry about everything else. Prerna is professional, calm, caring, and very well versed in the law. I am very grateful for everything that Prerna has done for me.

Highly recommended

My husband and I consulted with Prerna throughout our marriage petition. She was such a great help-- she answered all of our emails quickly, and always gave us very thorough and clear answers. We felt so confident that we were doing everything just right, and it really helped take a lot of stress o...ut of the process, especially in comparison to another attorney we worked with in the past.

Great Lawyer

Prerna was very instrumental and helpful in helping me with my expiring EAD. For those who is in a situation where their EAD is expiring within a matter or weeks and have gone through all the routes of getting an update but end up nowhere knows just how stressful and frustrating it can be. Prerna lis...tened and helped me to get into contact with someone who would be able to check up on my case. I've been through a lot with family immigration and Prerna is someone who definitely is dependable and knowledgable. I definitely will go to her again and highly recommend her!

Best Attorney I ever met.

Prerna is always available to answer my questions, is very supportive and does everything she can to keep me updated on events and news about the issues that matter in my case and my family members'. I wish there could be more attorneys like her. No matter how busy or tired she is, is easy to get a ...hold of her. If she does not know an answer she makes sure she have the correct information and gets back to me. She is very reliable, I have had very bad attorneys in the past, nothing compared to Prerna, I feel very confident having her on my side.

Relationship: Worked together on matter

"Ms. Lal has been fighting to the rights of individuals and advocating fairness and equality for many years, including prior to becoming an attorney. She has founded immigrant youth groups that have helped countless children and young adults, is a contributor to newspapers such as the New York Times and USA today, and the Huffington Post. She assisted me directly performing research and drafting briefs on complicated legal issues so I have worked with her on legal matters, and can attest to her research and writing skills, and will to fight for what is right. Ms. Lal is an attorney who will fight for your rights and provide excellent legal service to you and your family."

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
