I am an immigration attorney based in Berkeley, California, and the founder of Gopal Shah Immigration PC. My practice is dedicated exclusively to U.S. Immigration and Nationality Law — which means every case I take, every update I track, and every courtroom I walk into is focused on one thing: immigration.
I represent individuals, families, and employers across a full range of immigration matters, including employment-based and family-based Green Cards, temporary work visas (H, L, O, and P), adjustment of status, consular processing, naturalization, removal and deportation defense, asylum, bond proceedings, and humanitarian visas including U and T visas. I regularly appear before the San Francisco Immigration Court and the Board of Immigration Appeals.
I am an immigrant myself — born in Nepal — and I understand firsthand what is at stake for my clients. That perspective shapes everything I do: how I communicate, how I prepare cases, and how I show up for the people who trust me with their futures.
I am licensed in New York and serve clients throughout the United States. I speak English, Hindi, and Nepali.
