Knowledgable and helpful consultation

I went to Matthew to get legal advice before getting married. I knew there were pre-nups, health care directives, wills and living wills that my fiance and I needed to think about before tying the knot. I didn't have any idea what any of these contracts meant, how they were constructed or how I shoul...d approach them. Matthew was fantastic about slowly walking me through every aspect of every kind of agreement, giving me examples to help me understand, and answering all of my questions. He was extraordinarily helpful, accommodating and communicated promptly with me every step of the way. I absolutely plan to continue going to him for any and all of my future legal needs. =]

Helpful, guidance, does not waste your time or money

I called asking if a workmen's comp settlement offer will affect my SSDI award. If yes, how to reduce the impact. He told me it will not affect my SSDI but could affect my future SS income when I reach retirement age. He answered my questions thoroughly and patiently. He gave me wording to use ...in any settlement to reduce the impact of a cash disbursement/settlement.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
