Prompt, professional, compassionate... and the list goes on!

At the start of my case, I self-represented, however, I quickly realized it was imperative that I found an attorney to represent my case after facing detrimental tactics from opposing counsel. I vented my experiences of searching for legal counsel to a friend and how the process caused extreme deplet...ion. My friend then shared contact information to a law firm that she felt was responsive, ethical, and compassionate. Upon calling the law firm, I was promptly matched with Justine… and for that I am grateful! It was imperative that I found someone I could connect with and trusted as DVRO matters are vulnerable, terrifying, and traumatic. It was not my first consultation with an attorney; however, it was the first time that I felt well supported. It was instantly evident that Justine was well-informed with the law, communicative, and empathetic towards my case. Unfortunately, the unethical tactics by opposing counsel continued during the entire year long case. If you were to ask Justine, she would likely state that I managed to maintain resiliency and reasonable efforts throughout the legal matter. The truth being that my ability to remain resilient and reasonable was the result of working together as a team. The support that I received from Justine allowed me to maintain my true self and to push forward with my case and my healing. I sincerely appreciate and admire Justine’s level of consistency. She was always prompt with responses, professional, ethical no matter what opposing counsel flung at us, and truly stayed by my side every step of the way. I highly recommend Justine for cases involving family law.

“No, your honor.”

Justine was no match for my ex and his more senior lawyer. Justine told me over and over that my requests were very reasonable. However the judge issued tentative rulings in my ex’s favor. In court, when the judge asked if Justine had additional information to add beyond our initial filing, she said ...simply “no, your honor.” Meanwhile, my ex’s lawyer filled every moment she was allowed to speak with personal attacks and sickening distortions of the facts. By the time I understood that Justine either wasn't capable or interested in standing up for me, it was too late. I know that lawyers cannot promise outcomes, and it would be different if Justine had used every opportunity available to her and we still lost. However, I will never forget how helpless it made me feel that instead of arguing against the lies my ex had told the court, when I wasn’t allowed to say a word, she remained silent.

The best of the best!

Justine helped with my case for over a year. She always responded quickly with any questions I had and gave great advice on what to expect in court. We were able to get the custody agreement I wanted and helped me feel sane while dealing with the stress of court. I highly recommend Justine and am sad... to close out my case with her.

Justine

Justine put me at ease and was so helpful! She made a difficult phone call as easy as possible.

Compassionate and Thorough

Justine helped me during a child custody case that was not going well. I received her services right at the beginning of the pandemic which I thought would be even more complex, however she made it simple! She made the whole process easy because of her solid understanding of family law. She took the ...stress off of me when I was working part time as a full time student and raising three kids on my own. She was always available for any questions I had no matter how small, and explained things to me in ways that I can understand. I could be myself without fear of judgement in each interaction with her because I felt she really understood my circumstances. Justine was always one step ahead with my case even when the other party was active. I would enthusiastically recommend Justine if you want a compassionate and thorough lawyer by your side!
