Biography
Your landlord has lawyers. Now you can too.
I'm Cody Bowlay-Williams, and Bowlay Law only represents tenants. I sue landlords for money damages when they ignore repairs, push tenants out without a legal reason, retaliate after complaints, lock tenants out, or charge more rent than the law allows. My clients are renters across San Francisco, the East Bay, and Los Angeles, often up against landlords with insurance companies and big firms behind them.
I'm a newer lawyer, and I lean into that. I graduated from UC Berkeley School of Law in 2024, spent a year as a Christopher M. Patti Legal Fellow at the University of California Office of the President, and then litigated tenant cases at a San Francisco firm before opening Bowlay Law. Before law school I spent nearly four years at Google, which is why I run a modern practice: you can text me, sign documents online, and always know where your case stands.
