Client's husband has early onset dementia and was placed in a skilled nursing facility. Client needed to apply for Medi-Cal for Long Term Care for her husband's medical care. Client also needed to be ... able to keep additional monthly income, in excess of what the state would allow. I successfully was able to get her husband accepted to the Medi-Cal program and petition the Contra Costa Superior Court for a court order allowing her to keep more of her monthly income while her husband is receiving care in a nursing home.
