Qiana Teri Washington

Qiana has spent over ten years dedicated to criminal defense work. She accepts nothing but the best from her team of investigators and legal assistants. The reason is simple--you deserve the best on your side. Qiana attended two of the top schools in the country to prepare herself to do battle for you. She received her bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of California, Berkeley. When dealing with the criminal justice system, she puts her psychology degree to work by analyzing the witnesses, the judge, the prosecutor, and the jurors to determine the best way to present your case. In order to get the best outcome, Qiana recognizes she needs to get into her opponents' heads. 

 

She went to law school at one of the most prestigious schools on the West Coast, the University of Southern California. While there, she did not wait to garner the experience she needed to best serve you. Rather, she worked in criminal justice clinics, interned in the office of the Los Angeles County Public Defender, externed in Alameda County and was on Moot Court. Qiana won her very first mock jury trial defending an armed robbery defendant. She also worked with real life clients in and out of prison on misdemeanors, felonies, and parole. She learned the system from the inside out. 

 

Once she completed law school, she worked for a year as a member of a capital defense team at the Contra Costa County Public Defender's Office. She left the Contra Costa Public Defender's Office to join the Sonoma County Public Defender's Office. There, she took no prisoners and won case after case. Two years later, it was time for a change so she joined the elite office of the San Francisco Public Defender.  

The San Francisco Public Defender's Office is arguably one of the best defense firms in the United States. She worked there for six and a half years learning all the best defense skills and exercising her talents to the benefit of thousands of people charged with crimes from misdemeanors to the most serious felonies. A long career at various Public Defender Offices has given her the opportunity to work on any and every type of criminal case imaginable.

 

 

Upon leaving there, she founded this firm to give the same level of elite defense to a broader range of clients throughout California, particularly San Francisco, Richmond, Walnut Creek, Hayward, San Leandro, San Mateo, Oakland, Marin, Vallejo, Fairfield, Vacaville, Fremont, Berkeley, Pleasanton, Santa Rosa, Sacramento, Sonoma, Napa, Petaluma, Dublin, San Jose, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Yolo County and the 9th Circuit. Qiana is fluent in Spanish.
