Kathryn Y. Mignani

I am eternally grateful to Kathryn Mignani for consistently offering level-headed counsel in the midst of an extremely difficult divorce. She was the calm and collected advocate I needed when faced with legal challenges that I couldn't understand on my own. Not only did Ms. Mignani prepare and argue ...brilliantly and persuasively in court, but she also helped me make real-time decisions that saved my relationship with my children (7 and 8), strategize next steps in making a needed career change, and making rock solid decisions in rebuilding a life that was shattered by unexpected separation. Every time we went to court, Ms. Mignani successfully persuaded the judge to find in my favor on all the counts that mattered most. Unfailingly, when the opposing counsel made five or so outlandish requests or accusations, Ms. Mignani focused on the most consequential items and consistently defeated the majority, leaving the opposing counsel with little to show for its efforts. In fact, after most hearings, I would constantly debrief with my attorney with an overwhelming sense of awe, wonder, and gratitude that so many things had gone our way. It seemed that every time we entered court in a David vs. Goliath situation, we came out for more victories than we dared hope for. Ms. Mignani consistently won the judge over with her professionalism, sound argumentation, and impeccable documentation, presenting the court with concrete evidence to prove to the court the strength of my character, my commitment to my family, and the faultiness of the opposing counsel's logic. Ms. Mignani was available at all times, offering wise counsel in the moment and constructing brilliant strategic moves in court. In emergency situations, Ms. Mignani would always respond by text immediately and then follow up with a call or an email within the day. Whenever opposing court filed a document that left me panicked, Ms. Mignani knew exactly what to tell me to calm my fears and see me through to a favorable outcome for my children and myself. Through it all, I always knew that she was personally invested in the welfare of my children and family. I wasn't simply treated as a client; I was treated like a friend. Ms. Mignani has a gift for treating others with the respect, compassion, and dignity that can truly build people up in the midst of crisis. If you are looking for someone to represent you who is brilliant and kind, professional and compassionate, compelling and wise, I cannot recommend Ms. Mignani with any higher praise. To this day, I still reach out to her to thank her for keeping my family together and helping me rebuild my life with her tenacity, commitment to the truth, and wise counsel.
