Company B is a successor in interest and must file an amended I-140. You keep the priority date.

H4 is not authorized for employment without an EAD. H1B must be approved to begin employment with a change of status from H4.

A 1099 is issued to contract workers. You would provide the W-2 with a copy of your return.
