take hard evidence you were in school until Dec 15. You should check your SEVIS record.

If they were residing in the US when they obtained their foreign divorce they may need to divorce again in the US.

If your I-485 priority date is current you will work and travel on EAD/AP and will not need to F-1 maintain status so long as you were in status...

A bonafide marriage to a US citizen will permit you to obtain a green card while in the US even if you are out of status.
