The L-1 requires qualifying 1 year employment abroad. Time spent in the US is deducted from the 1 year abroad. Is the E visa possible.

Depending on your country of birth, generally, unmarried sons of US citizens is ahead of married sons of US citizens.

The issue there may be is whether the marriage basis is a valid marriage and not for immigration purposes.
