Jason James Elter

Jason Elter is a Certified Family Law Specialist, as certified by the California Bar Association, a distinction held by only 1% of the attorneys in California.  He has been practicing Family Law for over 15 years.  He specializes in complex financial cases involving the division of separate and community property and the tracing thereof, the computation of spousal and child support involving intricate income sources, and highly contested custody and visitation disputes.  Jason also routinely handles contested and uncontested adoptions, guardianships, paternity, and same-sex relation marriages and arrangements.  He also regularly handles cases that are resolved through mediation and collaboration.  He often sits on the bench as a pro tem judge in Family Law disputes. He currently serves as the California State Bar Co-Chair to the Family Law Bay Area Standing Committee.
