Mary Ann Oaklund

Mary Oaklund was my court-appointed attorney when I was a child. I told her of the abuse I endured for years at my father and stepmother's hands, and she returned to the courts and completely misrepresented me, claiming that I loved my father and would be much better in his care. She did everything ...she could to alienate me from my mother, and gave completely different reports than my court-appointed psychologist at the time in an attempt to cover up my father's actions. She outright lied to the courts, protected my abusive father and stepmother in countless court hearings, and fought for my abuser instead of me. The courts refused to remove her from my case, and I endured years of prolonged abuse, because of her actions. I'd be surprised if I was the only child to whom she did this. As an adult now, I cannot believe she acted so dishonestly, so faithlessly, and so deceitfully, especially against a child. I fully believe that clients and the courts need to be warned that she is an untrustworthy individual who positioned herself to be the voice of a helpless child, only to then betray them and their safety to better serve their abuser.
