Assisted a client unhappy with her existing probate attorney. Due to a severe language barrier, the other attorneys and court administrators had been unable or unwilling to properly explain everything ... that had transpired in a guardianship battle and probate proceeding. After meeting with me several times, the client fully understood the process and why each event occurred. Although the client wished to transfer attorneys to me, I assured the client that her current attorney was doing everything she could for the client and there was no legal reason to do so. If and when that changed or if the language barrier became unworkable, then I suggested another consultation. I was happy to have assisted her even though I was not the primary attorney on her case.

I went over every aspect of estate planning and the options available to her over several meetings and correspondence. We were successful in completing her estate plan and additionally funding her estate plan. Unfortunately, the client passed away shortly thereafter.
