Debra I. DeCarli

Debra DeCarli is an experienced estate planning attorney serving Pleasanton and Mendocino, California. Practicing law since 1994, she holds both a J.D. and a Master of Public Affairs from the University of Texas. As a single mother of three during her studies, Debra developed a deep understanding of the challenges families face, which later inspired her focus on estate and business planning.

Debra’s personal journey profoundly influenced her career. After law school, she married her classmate and law partner, Bob DeCarli. They had a child while Debra simultaneously became a grandmother, giving her unique insight into the needs of blended families, young children, and grandparents. This led her to dedicate her focus on estate planning for non-traditional families and expand her services to include business planning.

Debra practiced law in Austin, Texas, for ten years before moving to California with her husband. Initially working in complex litigation across the country, she eventually settled on the Mendocino coast in 2010, drawn by its beauty and community. There, she established her estate and business planning practice, helping families and businesses navigate their legal needs with compassion and ingenuity.
