Biography
Jonna Thomas is an associate in HARTOG & BAER'S trust and estate litigation, planning and administration groups. Jonna has a distinguished reputation in public litigation and trial work. She has conducted over one hundred court trials. She has litigated matters in both state and federal courts.
Jonna was a founding attorney with East Bay Children's Law Offices, a non-profit law firm, where she represented abused and neglected children and mentored a new generation of child advocates. Jonna is a former attorney for the Counties of Alameda and Tulare, and she has an insider's understanding of public agencies, including those serving the elderly.
Jonna earned her Juris Doctorate with distinction from Pacific-McGeorge School of Law in 2005 and was admitted to the State Bar of California in the same year. She was honored twice with Witkin Awards for Academic Excellence in legal study and is a member of the Traynor Honor Society. She is now a top student in Golden Gate University's Master of Taxation Law program, emphasizing in Trusts and Estates Law. She is scheduled to complete her LL.M. in early 2014.
