Shaffy Moeel

We felt abandoned by Moeel Lah Fakhoury LLP during a challenging healthcare-related legal matter. Furthermore, Shaffy accepted our funds despite later admitting that she lacked experience in healthcare law. As a result, my wife, a mother of children, was sentenced to two years in prison. In our... view, Shaffy failed to effectively communicate on our behalf. She did not adequately respond to the prosecution’s claims, stating that addressing their arguments would only reflect poorly on them. Consequently, the judge was left without a clear understanding of the loss amounts when making the final judgment that sentenced my wife to two years in prison. Mind you, Shaffy also in the end dumped my wife as a client before getting any of her belonging back, securing the restitution she promised to do, and did not help with any other requests. In fact, she did not respond to emails. If you are looking to hire someone for a life changing event, Shaffy and Hanni are two lawyers I would not recommend at all.

I cannot recommend Moeel Lah Fakhoury LLP. I hired Shaffy to assist with a complex healthcare-related legal matter that deeply affected my family. Unfortunately, both Shaffy and Hanni failed to properly defend me or negotiate a reasonable outcome, ultimately abandoning me when I needed them most. ...I am a mother of three young children—ages 10, 9, and 2—and was sentenced to two years in prison. In my opinion, Shaffy and Hanni did not clearly present the actual fraud amounts in question to the judge, failed to respond to the prosecution’s key arguments during the critical final stage of sentencing, and, in the end, offered me only $500 back from the $25,000 I had paid. I was in shock. Shaffy also provided incorrect advice and, in my view, put in minimal effort on my case. Most concerning of all, she admitted after my sentencing that she was not an expert in healthcare law, despite taking my case. If you’re looking for legal representation, I strongly urge you to find an attorney who is honest, upfront, and truly committed to fighting for you. In my experience, Shaffy was not.
