Leslie Robin Azcona

Leslie is a fantastic lawyer. She has represented me for several years in an ongoing Custody case that is highly complicated. She has stuck by my side and assisted me in not only making sound decisions, but giving a realistic approach to events. She doesn't sugarcoat, or fluff anything, really assist...s her client towards the best outcome for the situation. Leslie is also a great listener, but she really assess your situation, and remembers the case as if it were her own. I could not have asked for a more thorough and caring lawyer. She is a mother, and very worldly. Her down to earth honest approach, I truly appreciate. She is also a great judge of character, and gauges her case well. I was in a fairly desperate situation, I had a pending divorce trial date and had just fired my previous lawyer for failing to submit court documentation on time. I made a call to Leslie who was very concerned about the pending trial and short time line to prepare. Leslie was very open and transparent with me about my risk with her taking on the case with such a short time line to prepare. She requested all my documentation and assessed my situation before wanting payment. I felt safe and could tell Leslie had my best interest in mind. After deciding to hire Leslie to represent me, she quickly got to work. Leslie helped get my trial extended where we would be able to properly prepare. She was very professional, keeping very good communication through the process. She took time out of her personal time, weekends and evening to prepare for my trial. Also while preparing for trial we weighing the option to settle outside of court as financially it could be in my best interest. My ex wasn't willing to settle so we continued to go to my court hearing. In that hearing I didn't have to represent myself, Leslie took care of speaking to the judge and was able to get the judge to deny light spousal support and payment of attorney fees to my ex declined. Leslie requested a speedy trial date be set and for the court to make a judgment on that trial date. Leslie and I prepared for trial which was set for 2 weeks later. The representation Leslie provided was calculated putting me in the best position for trial, as the nearing of my pending trial. My ex conceded to a settlement which Leslie and I found to be a fair compromise. Something I felt comfortable with. Leslie finalized all my court documentation and allowed me to move forward with my life. Divorce isn't easy. Having someone like Leslie on your side walking you through the process is the best decision I made. I will be forever grateful for the representation Leslie provided.

Leslie is wonderful Lawyer and person and always tells you things strait. I went through a very tough divorce and child custody struggle and it was Leslie who not only got me through this tough time but also got me joint physical and legal custody of my wonderful Son. Due to the volatile and unexpected nature of my recent legal needs (domestic violence and related restraining orders against my husband) I felt very vulnerable and overwhelmed when I first realized I needed legal representation. I’m so glad I found Ms. Azcona. She did a great job of helping me unde...rstand my options and make the best decisions for my situation. Then she carried out the extensive details, filed the forms, helped me get my husband served, prepared for the hearing, etc. with extreme knowledge and competence. I was so happy that she was both compassionate and gentle with me when I needed help understanding what was going on, but then was very professional and tenacious when it was time to actually get down to business. The judge was clearly in a bad mood on the day we had our hearing (based on the way he was chewing out the other attorneys), but she was quick to give him the facts that he needed and knew when to offer jovial small talk in order to disarm him. I think her courtroom demeanor was just as important as her legal skills. My husband was issued a permanent restraining order thanks to the help from Ms. Azcona. Now I feel safe from him and I feel like I found an ally in the courtroom. I hope I don’t need legal representation again, but if so, I know I’ve found someone I can trust.

I had a bad experience with this lawyer. She was disorganized, did not keep me informed and was not answering most of my questions. I had to study my case and found legal resources on Internet in order to understand what the course of action was and what the best outcome was for me as a client. She h...eld back information and I experienced many moments when I regretted hiring her. We agreed on a flat fee in the beginning and during the trial time, when we had the first pretrial hearing she did not stick to the plan we agreed on. She basically told me that she does not make money on my case because she did not predict the pretrial hearings?! Really? Insult to the injury!!! She displayed obnoxious behavior outside and inside the courtroom. Very unprofessional. I would never recommend her to anybody in my entire life. She kept stating that I SHOULD take a plea, outside the courtroom, because the case will be too long and she needs more money. In my case I pleaded not guilty from the beginning until the end. There was no evidence except hearsay. My case was dismissed in the end due to LACK OF EVIDENCE. She knew very well that my case was hearsay, yet she insisted that I will be convicted if I don't take a plea. Very disappointing, unprofessional and extremely frustrating especially when you fight for the best outcome in such stressful situation. But,... despite the conflict of interest with this lawyer, the worst moment was when she stated that if I bring this complaint to anybody's attention in the court, no one will believe or take me seriously because I have an accent. NO COMMENT!!!
