I feel compelled to warn everyone to steer clear of Ken Moyal! This so-called attorney charged us $13,000, and here’s what he actually accomplished: 1. We first met him in 2024, where he requested $6,000 upfront. 2. He attended the initial hearing, which lasted barely two hours. The petitioner ...asked the judge for an immediate decision, and the outcome was a split ruling—50/50 custody—because both parents needed to be involved. That two hours cost us 6k! Let’s pretend travel was 2 additional hours: 4 total hours cost us = $6,000! 3. He then requested an additional $7,000. He was present for the contempt hearing over ZOOM, but since the respondent hadn't been served, the case should have been dismissed. Ken failed to mention this to the judge. We ended up reaching a quick agreement, and the hearing lasted just 30 minutes. 4. Ken canceled our next hearing, claiming he had COVID, and reacted unprofessionally by yelling and cussing at the respondent over the phone and hanging up on him like a child. (there is a security camera with this recording) 5. He appeared in court over zoom for only 30 minutes to tell the judge he was unwell and to reschedule the hearing for August 18th, 2025. 6. Just two days before the rescheduled hearing, he called us to say our retainer had run out! The 7k! WTH Is he serious? This is unacceptable behavior for a legal professional! 13k? Ken Moyal - You asked for an honest review. Here it is!! Shame on you!!

My daughter and I went to see Mr. Moyal. In this meeting I asked Mr. Moyal if he could do 2 things for me and that was to move my case out of one county to another and to help me get my son back. He said he would take my case and that it would be easy for him due to the fact that he's from the county... I was moving my case to. He went on about how he knows all the judges and he could very easily get my son back home where he belongs. So I handed him $5,000 in cash. He never gave me a retainer agreement. Once I got him to get me a court date he shows up popping gum (in the courtroom) I asked him if he would get my case moved to another county and that while we was in front of a judge could he adjust the summer schedule witch he did but then when it was all over he tells me that if I wanted him to help get my son back he will not charge me as much. I just looked at him like what the heck. He's a slick talking con man that couldn't even remember what I hared him to do on top on that I have no paperwork to proves I gave him my money. Please go somewhere else, but if you feel he's the lawyer for you have him put it all in writing. I feel he does not have your child's best interest because if he did my son would not be still living with a control freak that keeps his son away from his mother.
