Jimmy K Yun

Jimmy Yun is an associate in the law firm's Corporate & Securities - Technology practice and is located in the Silicon Valley office. Jimmy’s practice focuses on a wide variety of complex commercial transactions involving intellectual property and technology. His transactional experience includes structuring, drafting and negotiating a wide variety of such transactions, including licensing agreements, outsourcing agreements, reseller agreements, technology transfer and development agreements, and strategic alliance transactions. In addition, his experience includes evaluating and advising on complex intellectual property and technology issues that arise in general corporate transactions.

Prior to joining Pillsbury, Jimmy worked as Senior Legal Counsel for Global Legal Affairs at Samsung Electronics where he acted as counsel for Samsung’s semiconductor businesses. Here, Jimmy was the lead negotiator on dozens of major strategic licensing agreements with top worldwide partners, customers, and vendors. His focuses included intellectual property licensing, strategic alliance, joint development/evaluation, supply, and procurement.

In addition to his work at Samsung Electronics, Jimmy worked as an Assistant District Attorney in the Office of the District Attorney in Philadelphia, PA, where he represented the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in criminal cases on appeal.

During Law School, Jimmy worked on the Temple Political and Civil Law Review as a notes editor. He was also a teaching assistant for the Integrated Trial Advocacy Program.
