Else than being super talented, I observed that Maureen was very responsive and caring. I do not have the words to express my great appreciation and thanks for the work of Maureen. Maureen filed two appeals for me, both of which were granted by the BIA. The judge in my case wanted to deny me asylum and Maureen kept fighting for me. Eventually, because of her appeals, the BIA told the ...Judge that she did not have the discretion to deny me asylum. I was happy not just because I won my case but also because I learned from Maureen how much a great lawyer must be determined and engaged professionally in the outcome of their clients’ cases.
