I engaged Frank to help me with a landlord/tenant situation. He understood the convoluted and totally fabricated case pretty quickly, and was able to give me legal and practical advice right away. Mr. Kim has helped me with several legal matters, most recently with an unusually difficult and contentious divorce. My divorce has unfortunately been plagued with the most extreme examples of all of the worst divorce and ongoing post-divorce issues, including dealing with a cheating spouse, Child C...ustody, Alimony, Child Support, false accusations of 'domestic violence', dealing with an ex-spouse who had, during the marriage, illegally hidden / stolen marital assets including large sums of money, as well as me having to cope with my Ex's attempts to alienate my own children from me. It is very difficult for most people to think clearly and act in their own and their children's best interests given the mental / emotional stress one undergoes in such a situation. Mr. Kim has the ability to quickly grasp the 'big picture' and logically cut through to the core issues. His legal advice is not sugar-coated --- it is consistently crystal-clear, 100% rational, logical, and sound, delivered in a manner suitable for non-lawyers, and sometimes very blunt -- and like all of us, I might not always like hearing 'the truth' the first time. But, time and again, his legal advice has proven to be dead-on accurate, and in my own situation, following his legal advice has literally kept me out of jail. The few times I chose not to follow his advice, I later regretted it. I would recommend this attorney to my own friends and family without reservation.

Mr. Kim quickly grasps the elements of my case and provided me with an accurate assessment of my chances of arriving at a favorable decision. I greatly appreciated that I was always kept informed either by Mr. Kim or a member of his staff. My phone calls were always responded to within 24 hours. I had a very bad experience with Mr. Kim handling my DUI case last year. He conversed with me very professionally, but I feel now that he overstated his experience in handling DUI cases and was interested in steering the conversation towards handing him the first check. I told him I had to leave the ...country and he assured me he would handle my case for me and that he would attend the hearings I would miss in my stead. The first mistake his office made was mailing an important form to the wrong DMV office in Sacramento rather than in Alameda, where I told him my arrest was. Because this was not fixed within 10 days, my license was automatically suspended without any hearing. While I was out of the country, I asked him to ensure he was handling my case properly, which he assured me he was. I did not find out about this mistake until it was much too late, when I received the notice of the suspension weeks later. I feel like a client who puts his trust in a lawyer should never have to experience such a negative result based on a lawyer's filing error. I switched to a different, excellent lawyer to handle the rest of my case and was very satisfied with my result. I asked Mr. Kim to refund the amount I had paid him because I felt he had made a critical error in my case, and after initially not responding to my mail, he eventually stated that he could return a small portion but not the full amount because he had still performed some of the services. Our correspondence made me question if service to a client was his first priority and I was left feeling powerless and dissatisfied. Though he did attend my hearings, I cannot recommend a lawyer who will perform some services carelessly to the point where it will cost the client a very significant penalty. I do not recommend Mr. Kim.
