Mr. Wu was born in Hong Kong, but his family immigrated to the United States when he was three years old. He has been residing in the San Francisco Bay Area ever since. Mr. Wu’s deep roots in the Bay Area include tutoring students of all ages in San Francisco’s Chinatown and attending the local schools. He is also a proud graduate of Galileo Academy of Science and Technology, University of California at Berkeley, and Golden Gate University School of Law.
In his legal practice, Mr. Wu was an Associate at a law firm in the San Francisco Bay Area with emphasis on assisting the Chinese Community. He has obtained numerous favorable settlements, judgments, and other cost-effective results for his clients. In addition, he has appeared on the Sing Tao Radio (AM 1400) as well as AM 1450 on numerous occasions discussing various legal issues, including the ever-so-popular topic of Landlord-Tenant Law.
With his own firm now, Mr. Wu continues to serve the Chinese Community throughout the Bay Area. His practice includes Landlord-Tenant, Employment Law (wage and hour), and Criminal Defense. He is fluent in Cantonese. Currently, Sam W. Wu is also a proud member of the San Francisco Bar Association’s Lawyer Referral and Information Service (“LRIS”). As a member of the LRIS, Mr. Wu would occasionally volunteer for 91.7 FM KALW’s show Your Legal Rights – Call-A-Lawyer Night.
Mr. Wu is licensed to practice before all California State Courts and in the Federal Northern District of California.
