If you hire this guy or if you're appointed this guy, I'm telling you that you better fire him or you're going to LOSE big time. He's a con man, liar, thief, used-car salesman. He'll do anything he can do to sell you a dream then in the end he'll throw you under the bus quicker than the United Stat...es Attorney will. I asked this guy to file numerous motions. He made all these excuses as to why he didn't think it was a "good idea." John have you ever thought the defendant may have a right to file what he/she believes should be filed? I asked this guy to submit my sentencing memorandum. I prepared a 27-page document and asked him to file it. He submitted a two-page sentencing memorandum. Then, when we went to my sentencing hearing, I met with this buffoon for 90 minutes PRIOR to the hearing. This fool literally made three pages of notes on things he was going to address with the judge (like my blood cancer diagnosis and treatment required for that, which prisons could and couldn't treat my condition, the way I've been given raw deal after raw deal, mental health challenges, history of sexual abuse, etc cetera). Let me tell you this. When we got to my sentencing hearing, he spoke for eight seconds and ran for the hills. He didn't mention ANYTHING we'd discussed. He abandoned me like I had HIV and was about to spread it to him. After I was sentenced he promised me if I went to a prison that couldn't treat my condition, he would file a motion for compassionate release. As you may already suspect, I went to FCI Victorville and they COULD NOT treat me. I never even seen a doctor while I was there. When I asked Jordan to file the motion he'd promised to file, he said: "As you may know, the Court granted my motion to be relieved from your case so I am no longer your attorney. You'll have to file that motion on your own." Then, on December 20, 2024 i was nearly murdered at FCI Victorville. I again reached out to Jordan to ask him to file a motion for compassionate release and to notify the U.S. Attorney that I wasn't even getting the credit for the time I was in custody. Jordan told me that he isn't going to file the motion and told me I should contact the U.S Attorney directly. John J. Jordan is potentially the worst attorney to ever practice law in this country. He's a lazy, arrogant man. He isn't going to help you in any way. He is just looking to bill the government for a bunch of hours to "look at your case" but then he isn't going to do anything to help you. If you hire this guy, you're an idiot and you deserve all the time you get. If you're appointed this guy, you better tell the judge you want new counsel because this guy will get you a life sentence, or the maximum punishment available under the law. I couldn't be more disappointed with his professional conduct, responsiveness, ethical behavior or court-room performance. On a 1-5 Star system, he deserves a negative number.
