Biography
A practicing attorney in California since 1976, I have specialized my practice in the area of personal injury and wrongful death. Our trials have been numerous, throughout the state of California, and we have had some great successes for clients. Cases we routinely handle include auto and motorcycle accidents, boating accidents, plane accidents, train accidents, and premises liability, e.g. collapsing decks. We have made appellate law in the area of elevator accidents, with many substantial settlements and verdicts.
The areas of special interest that I have include traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, catastrophic injuries, including serious burn cases, and cases of wrongful death due to plane crash, train crash, auto and motorcycle crashes, and pedestrian accidents.
In addition to being the senior trial attorney for Blackman Legal Group, I am the founder and chairman of Bay Area Lawyers Network, an elite group of specialists in the Bay Area, and am certified by the State Bar of California to provide continuing legal education for attorneys (MCLE). I have been running lawyers' continuing education programs 9 times per year since 1996, and have been a frequent lecturer myself on a wide range of topics for attorneys.
