If I reside in Texas but I am employed by a firm with a home office in GA and have a garnishment from GA can I be garnished ?

As a Texas resident, your wages may not be garnished by creditors except for child support, alimony, taxes, and student loans.

401k accounts are protected in bankruptcy. If you take money out of the 401k, it is no longer protected and if you place it in a bank account...
