They can only garnish your wages if they have obtained a judgment against you.

You can sue for $800 in small claims court. The court filing fee is $80 and if you win you can have the judge order that it be paid by the losing...

Unless the debt has been forgiven, you still owe it and if you don't pay it there can be legal consequences.

Student loans cannot normally be discharged in bankruptcy absent the filing of an adversary proceeding and proving undue hardship. Unpaid tuition...
