Paul Alan Durdik

Paul serves as an Of Counsel intellectual property law attorney at Haynes, Beffel & Wolfeld LLP. He works with large and small domestic and global businesses seeking to create, manage and leverage their strategic positions using effective IP protection regimes. Paul focuses on identifying and protecting the unique aspects of each client’s strategic position in order to set them apart from their competitors. Paul’s practice includes patent portfolio construction, strategy, prosecution and analysis. He is admitted to practice in New York and California, as well as before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

Paul has extensive experience in representing clients with legal matters relating to computer hardware and software. Prior to private practice, Paul served as Director of Intellectual Property at Leap Motion, Inc., Director of Intellectual Property at , Inc., and as an Engineer and Programmer for IBM Corporation. Paul’s tech industry and in-house counsel experience provide him with insight into the workings of businesses and specific industries, enabling him to better serve his clients.

Paul is valued for his responsiveness and commitment to identifying and resolving potential patent-related problems before they devolve into serious obstacles. His combined engineering, MBA finance and legal background enables him to assist businesses in developing corporate strategy, workable solutions to complex business and legal issues, processes and procedures, because he has confronted these types of issues before and understands them from a business as well as a legal perspective.
