Heather M.D. Green

Nobody likes attorneys -- until you go to a good one. My ex-wife was jerking me around over our two sons, and a friend of mine recommended that i go talk to Heather. I met with her, and she sounded like she really knew her law. Also, like she knew how to handle my ex's attorney. She sounded expensive..., but when I checked around, I found out that her rate was actually less than a lot of attorneys who were specialists. Long story short, I ended up with more time with my sons, and paying less in child support too. I would definitely recommend her, and wish I had hired her to do my whole divorce. Can't speak for anyone else, but everything I was billed for was clearly stuff done on my case. She always explained my choices, and I decided which way to go. She didn't do anything that was inconsistent with the plan we had decided on. She was not cheap, but I don't think any good attorney is.

I was a client of Ms. Green a few years ago. Ms. Green's practices are extremely questionable - based on discussions with other attorneys, she claims to spend 25x as much time on matters as would be reasonable, and then charges fees that are clearly excessive - the bills are so excessive that it imp...ossible to understand or believe how she could have spent a fraction of the time claimed. This woman complicates your case deliberately to substantially increase her billing. She has charged me $7,000+ for just copying and faxes on a 4 mo case with 2 hearings. WTF. She tries to control you through fear. She works with the husband's attorney to ratchet up the situation. If your spouse's at...torney is a crook as well you both will be in the ditch. By sheer coincidence, I happened to meet another client of hers, a doctor, and she has been cleaning out his paycheck in litigation fees every single month. When he switched attorneys she refused to turn over his papers asking for $4,000 for copying charges. Heather Green is a con artist masquerading as an attorney.

She charged me $800 for sitting in her office the first time to go over my case, total ripp off. She never followed up with me eventhough she knew I had to be at court the following day. She then charged me for reading an email eventhough I never hired her and she never worked on my case. Seems not ...trustworthy at all and not responsive. I would not use her services if I were you.
