One rainy evening during a visit to San Francisco I slipped going down a hill on an unsafe utility door in the middle of a sidewalk. The fall resulted in three bone fractures, a torn ligament & the total destruction of the cartilage in my left ankle. The surgeon who put in the plate and screws to rep...air & stabilize my ankle told me that I was left with debilitating arthritis which was likely to worsen unless I got additional surgery to replace the ankle with an artificial joint. Knowing that my lifestyle would be permanently changed--I used to be an avid runner for example--I decided to search online for an injury attorney in the SF area. After reading reviews for Larry and for other lawyers, I gave Larry a call, and that turned out to be an excellent decision. Because we are on opposite coasts, much of the work with him was done by phone and by email, though I did go out to speak with him in person several times. I found him to be very cordial and amicable, while at the same time very serious and persistent about pursuing my case. I had no prior experience with litigation, and Larry was very patient and helpful each step of the way, explaining the purpose of everything he was working on and any information he needed me to provide for him. He explained the importance of being patient, and making sure all the t's were crossed and the i's were dotted, making sure that he had a copy of all of my case-related medical and work loss documentation to present to the defense counsel when the time came. When it was time for the mediation, Larry was well prepared and well organized, and in the end I was very pleased with the settlement he negotiated for me. I would highly recommend his services (and in fact have already done so for a friend) to anyone who is hoping for the best chance at a favorable outcome to their case.

Larry was extremely knowledgeable in his area of expertise, and kept me informed and up to date from start to finish. Larry first helped me with an auto accident some years back and most recently regarding a dog bite case. I have referred friends and family to Larry over the years and would hire him ...again in the future.

I am going to preface this review by telling you that I am not always the "easiest" person to deal with but Mr. Rothstein completely respected my thoughts and wishes and was always on my side even if I didn't always agree with him. He strategically prepped me for my meeting with the "opposition" brin...ging up some issues that I would end up being questioned about that I hadn't even thought of, he returned e-mails promptly and listened to me even when I was clearly frustrated and just needed to vent. He brought up extremely salient points and really helped me to flesh out what I wanted vs. what my emotions were telling me to do. He is very logical, compassionate, smart, easy to work with and never condescending. And, I always felt I was in capable hands since Larry does all of the work himself vs. at some other firms where the lead attorney isn't necessarily the one who handles your case.
