Julie A Treppa

Julie Treppa is chair of the Tax practice group and one of the leading tax practitioners in the field of New Market Tax Credits, counseling investors, businesses, and community-based organizations seeking to use tax incentives and tax credits to maximize profits while achieving social, financial, and environmental goals. In addition, her experience working as a tax auditor for the IRS in the exam division lends itself perfectly to representing clients with a wide range of tax matters, including transaction planning, equity incentive programs and deferred compensation matters under Code Section 409A.

Julie has significant experience advising private equity investment and venture capital funds, their managers and their investors on technical tax issues and practical business matters that promote the success of the funds.

She has successfully represented clients during the course of federal and state tax controversies in U.S. Tax Court, U.S. District Court, and various California courts, and she is also skilled at handling the administrative resolution of these matters.
