J. Kevin Morrison

Kevin exclusively represents individuals and families who have beenharmed as a result of the negligence of others. His particularexpertise is with construction site, defective products, automotive andpremises liability cases. Because of the circumstances of his clients'injuries, he has become an expert legal advisor on the overlap ofCalifornia's third party and workers' compensation system, which iscritical for his clients to obtain the best outcome from both peers would describe Kevin as an attorney who loves trial work. Hehas tried cases throughout California, from San Francisco to LosAngeles, in both State and Federal Court. For Kevin, trial preparationincludes working with a variety of technical and medical experts, andhe often uses focus groups to explore the most salient aspects of hiscomplex cases. Kevin has mentored other attorneys on the usefulness ofthese trial techniques

His successful trial work includes several favorable appellatedecisions. Kevin's most significant appellate victory was a publishedcase in California Court of Appeal, Browne v. Turner Construction Co.(2005) 127 1334, in which he persuaded the Court of Appealto reverse the trial court's granting of summary judgment of hisclient's case. The case was then successfully settled.

Although he does not hesitate to take a case to trial if the offeris not adequate, the vast majority of his cases resolve by way ofmediation. He has mediated and arbitrated hundreds of casessuccessfully on behalf of his clients.

In addition to work on behalf of his clients, Kevin serves as anarbitrator and settlement conference panelist for the San FranciscoSuperior Court. He is an active member of the American Association ofJustice; the Consumer Attorneys of California; the San Francisco TrialLawyers Association; as well as the Bar Association of San is also Martindale-Hubbell AV® Peer Review Rated, a testament tothe fact that his peers rank him at the highest level of professionalexcellence.

Kevin received his undergraduate degree from Bucknell University in1988, majoring in Economics. He graduated from Albany Law School ofUnion University in New York in 1992; however, during law school, hespent his third year as a visiting student at the University of SanFrancisco School of Law, and while studying there, decided to make theBay Area his home. He lives in San Francisco with his wife, Margot, andthree young children, Cora, Elsa and Luca.
