We hired Mark to help us deal with a tenant that was attempting to unlawfully overtake a bedroom that was not within her lease. This was in a multi-bedroom apartment in which she already occupied another bedroom. Mark was very attentive regarding how we wanted to approach the issue, and offered hel...pful suggestions on how to optimize the approach. Although it was not immediately clear to us that/how the tenant's actions were unlawful, Mark researched the matter and got back to us in a very timely manner (this was a very time-dependent situation). Mark quoted multiple laws that the tenant's actions violated. He presented his argument from different angles to ensure the tenant had no outs or counter arguments. In addition, Mark used very easy-to-understand straight-forward verbiage in his letter to the tenant. There was no ambiguity, and the letter stood as a legal brick wall to any further actions of the tenant. Throughout the process, Mark was very responsive and reactive to our needs, which was important to us as time was a factor. We have not had any further issues with the tenant. We highly recommend Mark Ellis for legal issues with tenants.
